AUSTRALIA:The Italian Experience

A photographic exhibition by artist Sabrina Lauriston. Sabrina throughout 2017 and 2019 is documenting the experience of Italians who migrated to Australia during the post war period (1945 – 1960), photographing their lives, their homes and their communities.  Working alongside Lauriston to develop the exhibition is curator Trudie Leigo.

Through interviews, research and photography the exhibition will explore the individual stories of Italian migrants and the legacy their generation have had on Australia.

This project has been made possible thanks to the Generous support of the Fremantle Arts Center, the Regional Arts Fund and the Regional Arts Development Fund.
