The Bargara Pop Up

This adorable little hall was transformed into a pop up gallery and shop packed full of artwork and handmade wares by 21 local artists and artisans.

 

Opening night on the 7 Dec 2018, was  a perfect summer evening of live music, pop up poets, cool drinks and great art. The exhibition continued Sat & Sun 9-5pm. 

A Creative Forum was also held from 4-5:30 pm on Saturday the 8th. A panel of artists & artsworkers discussed Bargara based arts projects, present, past and future. 

A free portrait photography workshop was held on Sunday the 9th from 2:45 - 5pm. Participants learned the fundamentals of portraiture in this beginners workshop. Tutor: Sabrina Lauriston. 

This project was supported by the Regional Arts Development Fund which is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Bundaberg Regional Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
