Undercurrent

Undercurrent is an exhibition of abstract oil paintings by artist Chris Hurst. The exhibition explores what lies beneath the surface, the ideas and the inspiration that bubble away, often unnoticed.

Undercurrent is a study of colour and form and Hurst has drawn inspiration from her seaside home and studio in Bargara, Queensland. The exhibition is an emotive response to the vivid colours of the coast and the natural beauty of the region’s most iconic feature the Southern Great Barrier Reef.

Curated by Trudie Leigo Undercurrent toured to the following Queensland venues: Childers Arts Space, Gympie Art Gallery and Banana Shire Regional Art Gallery.
